@GinnyMcQueen I like not having it. I think there's a false sense of worth people put on others just because they have X number of followers, or Y more followers than someone else. By not having the count shown, you're more likely to evaluate a... sigh.... toot... on its own merit, and not just because it was tooted by @FollowershavingMcImportantpants@super.special.instance

the less mastodon is like a popularity contest the better, accounts should be about the quality of their content, not their numbers
@GinnyMcQueen @sebkun maybe keywords or something can be added to a profile to denote interests so you know whayyou're getting into or something? but i feel like the instance on which you find a profile already does that job somewhat

@Cocoron @GinnyMcQueen Having a link to the list of followers is useful so you can check people and decide to follow them (kinda creepy put that way…) but I agree that the figure should not be displayed. Just useful for your e-go!
