I hate WLAN-only work environments. Especially in hip gentrified Berlin, where every organic veggie fluid vendor runs their own WLAN and the frequencies are just plain overbooked, resulting in packet loss and constantly bickering co-workers.
Oh. And Wireless Printers. I hate them, too.
All hardware sucks, all software sucks. #ahsass
Turns out, this is intended as a space for power naps.
Not joking.
Our coworking space now has a child care unit.
I just mapped one ip address in the hosts file to another ip address, on somebody's windows pc so they can continue to use their excel and powerpoint documents with baked-in raw ip addresses.
I am not proud, and kind of horrified that this works.

Am 7.6. begann das §129b-Verfahren Erdal Gökoğlu vor dem OLG #Hamburg unter dem Vorsitzenden Richter Saykurth.
Heute am15.6.2018 musste nach 10 Minute die Verhandlung abgebrochen werden, weil Erdal einen Migräneanfall erlitt.

A backhoe severed the fibre to the new facilities a week ago, we are living off bundled LTE. The printer is routed to a remote datacenter, not to the printer. The window shades are broken! Consider all the data that's used to provide the value-added features on top of git. Issue tracking, wikis, notes in commits, lists of forks, pull requests, access controls, hooks, other configuration, etc.
Is that data stored in a git repository?
That moment when one realizes one had inadvertently developed loyalty for one's employer.
It's a human impulse, wanting to belong, wanting the best for the group necessary for one's survival.
Corporation large and small (not necessarily the people working for them, not even the managers) prey on this impulse, exploiting it for their gain.
My favorite fictional revolutionary said it succinctly:
"Rip open the diseased heart of a corporation and what spills out?"
Her answer was, "People".
