GEE.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I want it tattooed in its entirety on my body. This is absolutely IT EXACTLY.

& the decomodification of base needs of survival / removing profit motive from fashion and makeup creation - less endless cycles of brands copying from brands to make 50 near identical makeup pallets , etc
@CursedConfetti Yes! And we will not need to constantly borrow from 2 decades or 2 years ago to put out “new styles” for the SS/FW/resort(?)/pre-fall seasons, so we can have the time to innovate and also just wear the beautiful old stuff we like, too!

Yesss
And not only like whenever postures off how anticapitalism is anti-individualist I just cock my head like "Buddy, you really think this neoliberal hellscape is a gleaming utopia of personal freedom of presentation ..... Have you ever wondered why the closet exists ?"
@CursedConfetti SPEAK ON IT! Everyone can have blue or green or shirt or long hair, wear suits or skirts or skimpy jumpsuits or baggy velvet pajamas— no more dress codes, no more “work appropriate clothes” that have nothing to do with being able to perform labor safely, no more long sleeves in summer to hide tattoos, no more boys and men who don’t have to be confined to like 3 “permissible” outfits and no makeup.
How g-d stunning and unique public spaces would be if folks when its no more of only bougie girls being able to afford fancystore-quality skincare and makeup on the regular
I really like
@CursedConfetti Yes yes yes! Face masks and niche perfume and hair treatments and silk sheets for everyone who wants them— no more hoarding. No more artificial price inflation. No more workers unable to escape poverty even while working 100 hour weeks in order for the boss to keep other prices down. #niceshitforeveryone is exactly my politics.
Also— the perhaps Pollyanna-ish belief that the destruction of the state and real communist action will inevitably mean not that everyone wears grey jumpsuits, no makeup, and lives in ugly houses, but that there will finally be more than enough glitter and evening gowns and pretty furniture to go around.
I didn’t know how to hashtag that, tho.
