@shellkr padatious looks incredibly cool! i think it's gonna be really useful in the stuff we're gonna do in the future. unfortunately, it definitely look like it'd serve as an end-user dictation software, which is really what i'm looking for

mycroft is another thing i haven't seen, and it looks very promising! and appears to be not female! [1]

dragon naturally speaking is really good software, unfortunately it is not foss.

@cosine You are right... It is perhaps not exactly what you looking for.. but Mycroft is still being developed (and improved) and is probably the closest thing you'll get..

Padatious is a STT engine and Mimic a TTS engine. They can perhaps be tweaked toward your need.
