Maybe I am being daft but I can't see a way to search toots. For example, i might want to search for "Edinburgh" to find information. I am using Tusky, or web interface.

I think the issue with Mastodon is going to be usernames. If th we are bound to an instance then if that instance ceases we lose the username, presumably? Solution is to run your own private instance. Not sure how that fits with the federated model, but would give me control over my account/username.

My first post on Mastodon. I like the non centralised infrastructure.
