Capitalism doesn't just incidentally happen to be fragile. Fragility is its basic nature. It's a plan that directly inherently necessarily causes fragility, just like the plan "I know, let's try to build the structure as tall and thin as we possibly can!"
"price controls are the absolute worse thing possible, and have no redeeming qualities or valid uses, and it's obvious that that's the main way maduro ruined venezuela's economy because they're so destructively irrational..... oh btw prices can get too high during a hurricane so we're putting in some price controls"
boost this toot if you're a ship of theseus
everyone i've ever seen be called "a hard worker" has had an unhealthy obsession with their work or validation for their work, and everyone i've ever seen be called "lazy" has been depressed or otherwise had genuine difficulty working
these weird corporate cults lock people in boxes all day long doing things with no purpose but profit and then if they allow one creative idea ever they get 100% credit for it wtf .. if not for the torture it would be creativity ALL DAY LONG they deserve NEGATIVE CREDIT please

this was inspired by a conversation we're having on the anarchopacifism discord https://anticapitalist.party/media/UAKd_RhrgvbsrZ93mIM
Be very suspicious if anyone suggests a technological method to solve a social problem. That's pretty much exactly how structures of power get built without you noticing them.
I've been thinking more & more that the conversation I want to have about touch is also necessarily political. You can't be neutral on a moving train. Look, like, two of the main memes to have come up lately have been Cuddle Parties (paid, trademarked name) & the idea of high-priced personal snuggling services. I don't have anything to say about that except, no that's not what I meant. So it just has to be a political conversation, I can't leave that part out of it & get the conversation I want.
ok i understand what labor vouchers are and why they exist... but like, is that a permanent solution? i feel like eventually transitioning into a gift economy is necessary

I know nothing about economics, but apparently "The world will be unable to fight the next global financial crash as central banks have used up their ammunition trying to tackle the last crises, the Bank for International Settlements has warned." Hahaha! ๐
I imagine the next 2008-style financial crash is gonna be fucking nuts.
clicktivism is ineffective because liberals are ineffective in any medium, it has nothing to do with the clicking
"no such thing as ethical consumption under capitalism" isnt an excuse to shirk all responsibility just fyi
