Hey Tooters, I need advices:
I desperately need a music player & organizer software, usable on a server to stream my library anywhere, with usual features (Playlists, ratings, tagging) + advanced (Multi-genre tagging, filters, maybe nested playlists..)
I'm thinking about Music Collector

But maybe there is better alternatives (free or not, dont care)..
So, how do you organize your medias ?
@Myrkskog although I use it mostly for video, PLEX works really well for music as well (and has options for remote streaming from your home server if you pay for their subscription).
@Myrkskog yeah, and I will say I typically use MusicBrainz for tagging all of my music first, so I can't speak to Plex's built in capabilities.
@rag_and_bone_shop What about custom tagging ? Ideally, I would like to tag anything (as in Evernote), like genres, mood, instruments... and filter on it to create playlists, but maybe I should code it myself ahah
@rag_and_bone_shop Yep, I was initially thinking about PLEX but since it's a generalist media organizer, I'm afraid it lacks advanced features..
