@shoutcacophony Reading that piece, it occurred to me as a possible reason why a large portion of people seem to confuse "teaching" with "shaming". If something is intuitive to one person, then shaming might be enough for corrective action to take place.
So in a weird sort of way, the people who experience that intuition effect are inversely not able to intuit when it's missing?
I struggle with it quite a bit myself. It feels like a cultural divide.
