Saying this because someone just said "people are going to realize tech workers aren't 'worth' $80K/year, and wages will drop over the next 10 years." So...funneling the gained corporate revenue to CEOs is a good idea instead? 🤔

@shoutcacophony I read it as a statement of fact, of which tech workers should be more aware. If they think of income inequality as an issue that imminently threatens them, they will be less likely to oppose the establishment and protection of living wages across the board.

@swervestray That i agree with, ofc. I'm not sure it's true (this gets said periodically, and never happens), but it could happen, and people should be aware, just like in any other industry.

It's a strange sort of chicken-egg "don't say that too loudly" problem in some ways, especially because there's effectively zero union representation in tech.
